Who is behind the site
Kettle Nook is written by one person, under the pen name Nora Pell. I started the site, and for now I write every guide on it. There is no brand behind it and no newsroom, just a lot of comparing, done before every pick.
How I pick
Every guide starts with you, not the product: a pot before work, a latte on Sunday, a small counter, a tight budget. Then I line up everything worth considering, from the cheap favorites to the machines people save up for, and look at what actually matters in the cup and in daily use.
The most useful part is what owners say after living with the thing for months: the grinder that stays quiet, the carafe that dribbles, the tea that became a daily habit. When a complaint keeps coming up, you'll read about it in the guide, in plain words.
Then I pick. One clear favorite, the best options for other kinds of kitchens, who should skip each one, and what I'd leave on the shelf. The details (specs, warranties, caffeine) come in when they help you choose, never just to look thorough.
When something changes
Models get revised and better options show up. The guide changes when they do, and the date under its title moves with it. Prices come from Amazon and carry the time they were read (more on prices).
How the site makes money
